Day 2 - Joplin

Good Day to you all from Joplin Mo.

Today we made it to Joplin Mo. for our first day of work at several locations in the Joplin area and our first real view of the devastation that was made by the magnificent EF5 tornado in 2011.
All as I can say is it is just amazing at how much damage can be done in such a short time by so much wind, talk about needing a good foundation......
Today the weather played big part in the jobs of choice today and with the rain and snow and sleet that was present a lot of outside work did not happen today , tomorrow we are praying for better weather but are expected to get snow in a range from 1-5 inches....which could change everything.
The homes we are working can range in damage from moderate to severe ,the home Im in has a heavy amount of work that needs to be done from all new electric to new floors and a roof. The home owner made a visit to our home today and was very grateful for all of the crews volunteering their time in the cold to work on his house.
As you can see by some of the photos the pool in the back looks as in is in need of desperate repair and the trees in the neighbors yard took a lot of damage. It is just amazing when you're driving down the street and go from every day normal to devastation in a matter of the flash of the eye.
The teams are blending well and one would not even think that we are all from different areas of the country it is truly a great thing!
Tomorrow at 11am we are going to the 1st dedication service of a new home ,that should be pretty cool and seeing that the crew that was here in October framed it up as well.

Well till tomorrow folks peace to you all
