Final Follow up NOLA 2020

Good Morning to you all!

The last few days at CR were quite busy trying to get projects finished up, worrying about the trip home with snow ,rain and tornados.
I am happy to report that all have made it home safely and 1 had a flight cancelled due to the weather over the weekend.
CR was updated with new outside parking lot LED lights, interior led lights converted over from fluorescent lighting about 35-40 fixtures. Over 15 led gym lights or cafeteria lights converted. Additional outlets installed at CR.
At least 3 new faucets installed at camp restore because of issues with them ,automatic sensor light switch installed as well.
At Trinity the outside wall has been replaced as well as the interior studs to that wall and drywall re-installed and painted.
New gutter installed on the back side of the building to help with the flooding of roof water as well.
The grounds were trimmed and pruned and a tree was removed on the grounds of Trinity.
The gutters were cleaned and the dormers were painted by crews.
Interior outlets were replace as needed and a door was repaired.

Our outreach teams fed the homeless and took care of beads for New Orleans. They played bingo, of course with the seniors and many other projects that I’m sure I am not even aware of..

Team Levi brought much comfort to the residence of NOLA and everywhere they went as well as the volunteers @ CR and C.A.M.P.

I would also like to thank #thrivent for the seed money to use in New Orleans for materials and or food for the homeless.

Future needs of Camp Restore:

The needs of the City of New Orleans seems to be a never ending project. Some folks still have not returned to New Orleans since the Hurricane Katrina and may never. Some folks are doing repairs slowly seeing that the materials have to be bought by the home owner and the labor is supplied by CR.Some folks are just finding out that CR is there to help.So the needs also go deeper than bricks and mortar and they need to be reminded the Jesus is there for them as well.
